WILL AID

What is Will Aid?

Will Aid is an annual fundraising campaign to help those in our most vulnerable communities in the UK and all across the world. The funds raised go towards some of our best-known charities, such as the NSPCC, the British Red Cross and AgeUK.

How is Audley Chaucer involved?

During the month of November, we will draft you a basic will in return for a donation of at least £100. All of the money raised goes straight to Will Aid.

At Audley Chaucer, we like to go one step further. You will also be able to have your will drawn up under the Will Aid scheme during the month of October and December as well!

Why do I need a Will?

It is important to sort out your affairs during your lifetime in order to avoid heartbreak and complications for your loved ones. Whether it’s as simple as who receives your prized dinner set, or the more emotive issue of the ownership of your beloved pet, it’s often the little things that matter.

If you already have a Will, now may be a good time to update it in order to reflect a change in circumstances: the addition of a new family member, or new items of property could mean that your current Will does not reflect how you would like your assets to be divided when you are no longer here.

What is a basic Will?

Broadly speaking, if there are only a few adult beneficiaries to your will and your assets do not exceed the inheritance tax threshold (£325,000 or £650,000 depending on your situation), then this is a basic will.

If you have more complex needs, we may ask for a surcharge. We will let you know if this applies to your case once we find out more about your wishes.
